How to Transcribe Google Meet Recordings

Master the process of transcribing your Google Meet recordings with Audiogest with this quick guide.

Before You Start

  • Access to Google Meet with a saved meeting recording.
  • Registered account on Audiogest.
  • Adherence to Audiogest's file requirements: up to 350MB in size, maximum of 4 hours, and compatibility with all video and audio formats.

Steps to Follow

  1. Retrieve Google Meet File

    • Open Google Meet and go to the meeting where the recording was made.
    • You'll find your recording in the chat window.
  2. Download Recording

    • Click the three dots (options) next to the recording.
    • Choose "Download" from the dropdown.
  3. Sign in to Audiogest

    • Visit Audiogest's website on your preferred web browser.
    • Use your existing account to sign in or click 'Register' to create a new one.
  4. Initiate File Upload

    • After logging in, proceed to the 'Upload' tab.
    • Use the 'Select File' button to choose the downloaded Google Meet recording, or simply drag it into the given area.
  5. Indicate Speaker Count

    • Select or type the number of individual speakers present in the recording.
  6. Enter Vocabulary List

    • Add any specific terminology, names, or acronyms in the 'Vocabulary' section for better transcript accuracy.
  7. Click 'Generate Transcript'

    • To begin the transcription process, hit the 'Generate Transcript' button.

Important Notes

  • File size and length must not exceed 350MB and 4 hours, respectively.
  • Audiogest supports all audio and video formats.
  • You'll be notified via settings-based alerts or email when your transcript is ready.
