• We've improved the file uploading process to be more efficient
• Our servers got an upgrade, making transcribing faster
• As a result, you can now get a transcript of a 2 hour long recording in just 5 minutes!

• Some pages got an updated look including the transcript viewer and editor
• They should feel faster and easier to navigate, especially for long transcripts (1+ hours)

November Update

🪄Summary and digests lengths

• You can now select the length of a summary or digest when you generate one. Choose between short, medium or long
• Disable automatic summaries
  • When uploading a new file, summaries are automatically generated. There is now an option select the summary length or to disable it when you upload a file

🗃️ Multi export and .docx

• Multi export transcripts and digests
  • You can now export multiple transcripts and digests at once from the files page. Just select the files of which you want to export the transcripts and digests and click 'Export'
  • Either export them as separate files in a .zip or merge everything as one file
• Export to .docx
  • Previously you could only export your file to .doc, but now this has been changed to the modern and familiar .docx
• Export transcript and digests in one file
  • On a file page you can export your transcript and digests as a single file
  • Export to PDF is coming soon as well. To get a PDF of your transcripts today, you can first export to .docx and then use Word to export as PDF

💬 Improved Transcript Accuracy & More

• We've updated the AI model that generates the transcripts. You should see an 5%-20% improvment in transcript accuracy
• Summaries and digests are now generated in the background, so you don't have to wait for them to complete.
• Generated summaries are also improved in usefulness:
  • They now take the transcript length into account
  • And use a new improved AI model

New pricing

• Prices for transcripts are now at a fixed price of $4 per hour (or EUR 4 and GBP 3.50)
• We offer Student discounts at 35% which are automatically applied at checkout if you signup with a .edu or other student email address. Contact us if the discount is not automatically applied.

October Update

🖍️ New Interface Design

• The interface of the app has gotten a design overhaul, check it out below!
• Your transcripts are now under the page "Files" where all of your uploaded files are stored
• We've kept it as simple as possible and similar to interface designs of other modern webapps, and more improvements are coming!

🤑 Updated Pricing

• Prices are now ~40% lower than before
• Why? -> 3rd party services that we use to run our AI have decreased their prices significantly, effectively lowering our costs. So we pass on these changes to our pricing as well.

New pricing tiers:

1. $9 for 2 hours of transcripts
2. $29 for 8 hours of transcripts
3. $59 for 20 hours of transcripts

🗣️ Improved Speaker Identification

• We've updated the AI model (the diarization model) that distinguishes the speakers in a recording to a newer version
• You'll see slightly more accurate transcripts when it comes to speaker identification!

• Now all audio or video file types are supported, including newly supported .mov and .wma
• File size limit has been increased to 350 mb
• Recordings can be up to 4 hours long now
• Upload process time significantly reduced

Summer Update '23

✍️ Improved transcript editor

• The transcript editor has been updated to make corrections easier
• It supports audio playback so you can listen to your recording while making changes!
• Transcript segments are highlighted as they are played
• Easier to change all speaker labels or individual speaker labels

A few notes on this change:

• This change means we are now storing uploaded files and they are not automatically deleted anymore after 24 hours. You can still delete the uploaded file on the audio details page. Note that this also deletes the related transcript and digests.
• This only applies to uploaded files starting today, files uploaded before today were still automatically deleted. A change to our privacy policy has been made to reflect this update.

🗂️ Support for larger files (250mb) + video files

The upload process has also changed:

• Support for larger file sizes: from 100mb max -> 250mb max
• Files must be between 30s and 3 hours in duration.
• Support for both audio and video files
• Video files are converted to audio files after upload

Some of you asked to be able to download transcripts or easily copy them to your clipboard. So here it is! Go to your audios page and you'll notice two new buttons to download your transcript (as a .txt) or copy it toyour clipboard and paste it anywhere you want!

.aac & .ogg file type support

We've added support for the .aac and .ogg audio file types. This means you can now easily transcribe your WhatsApp and Signal voice memo's!

We're introducing a new pricing structure with 3 packages available.

Many users wanted the ability to edit transcripts, so here it is!
With the ability to edit transcripts you can easily change all speaker lables in one go, or make small corrections to the transcripts. 

Transcript options 💬

Don't need the speaker labels and timestamps? You now have the option to choose a 'Basic' transcript, which is just the transcript without any speaker labels and timestamps. And it's also slightly faster :)
