Dictionaries

Use dictionaries as context during transcription and summarizing so Audiogest better recognizes industry terms, names, and acronyms. You can include people’s names too.

What is a dictionary?

A dictionary is a saved word list you can reuse during uploads. It’s also called a glossary or custom vocabulary.

  • Improve accuracy for jargon and names
  • Reuse the same list across uploads
  • Keep multiple lists for different clients or projects

Create a dictionary

1. Open Dictionaries

In the app sidebar, click Dictionaries.

2. Click “Add dictionary”

This opens the create dialog.

3. Add name and words

  • Name: Example: “Legal terms” or “Product names”
  • Words: Add terms separated by commas or new lines

Duplicates are removed automatically. You can add up to 100 words.

4. Click “Create dictionary”

Your dictionary is now ready to use.

Use a dictionary during upload

1. Go to the Upload page

Start a new upload from the sidebar.

2. Select your dictionary

In the upload settings, choose your dictionary from the vocabulary dropdown.

3. Generate your transcript

Audiogest will apply your custom words during transcription.

  • Use the Edit icon to update the name or words
  • Use the Delete icon to remove a dictionary (this cannot be undone)
