How to transcribe iPhone Voice Memos recordings

iPhone Voice Memos built-in transcription
iPhone Voice Memos includes automatic transcription on iPhone 12 or later. When you record audio, Voice Memos can transcribe speech to text automatically, making it easy to search and review your recordings.
To use Voice Memos transcription:
- Recordings are automatically transcribed when they contain speech
- View transcripts while recording by swiping up and tapping the Transcription button
- After recording, tap the recording > More button > View Transcript
- Copy transcripts or search within them
Voice Memos transcription supports English (all variants), Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

How to transcribe Voice Memos recordings with Audiogest
