Connect your AI assistant to Audiogest with MCP
Last updated September 22, 2026
Connect your AI assistant to Audiogest so you can ask questions about your recorded conversations and saved documents without copying the text into a chat.
What is MCP?
MCP is a way for AI apps to connect to other services. With the Audiogest connection, a compatible assistant can find and read your files, transcripts, and documents after you sign in and allow access.
What can you do?
- Find recent recordings or search for a file by name or topic.
- Search the spoken text in your transcripts.
- Read transcripts with speaker names and timestamps.
- Find and read saved summaries, reports, and other documents.
- Ask your assistant to compare conversations, collect action items, or write a summary in your chat.
- Get links to open the source files in Audiogest.
The connection can read your existing content. It cannot upload recordings, start a transcription, edit or delete files, or save a new document in Audiogest. For those tasks, use the Audiogest app.
Before you connect
- Use an Audiogest account with a verified email address and access to an organization.
- Use an AI app that supports adding an online MCP connection and signing in to the connected service. Support and setup options vary by app and plan.
- Have a completed transcript or document in Audiogest if you want to ask questions about its content.
Connect your assistant
- Open the connections or integrations settings in your AI app.
- Choose the option to add a custom MCP connection. The option may be called a connector, integration, or server.
- Enter Audiogest as the name and paste this address into the URL field:
https://api.audiogest.app/mcp - Start the connection and sign in to Audiogest when prompted.
- On the Audiogest permission page, select the organization you want to connect and click Allow.
- Return to your AI app. If it asks which connections to use in a conversation, select Audiogest.
Use the Audiogest sign-in flow to connect. You do not need to create an Audiogest API key for this connection.
Try these questions
- “Show my most recent Audiogest recordings, with links.”
- “Find the customer interview about onboarding and summarize the main problems.”
- “Read the transcript of our planning meeting and list the decisions and action items.”
- “Compare the feedback in these two interviews. Include timestamps and links to the source files.”
- “Find my saved report about the product launch and list the next steps.”
Include a file name, topic, or phrase from the conversation to help your assistant find the right material. Ask it to read the complete transcript before drawing conclusions about a long recording.
Which files can the assistant read?
The connection uses the organization you selected when allowing access. It can read your own files and files shared with your team in that organization. It cannot read another member's private files.
To use a different organization, reconnect and select that organization on the Audiogest permission page.
If the connection does not work
- The app cannot connect: check that the address is exactly
https://api.audiogest.app/mcp. Adding an MCP address alone is not enough; the app must also support Audiogest's sign-in flow. - Sign-in or permission fails: check that your email is verified and that you can open the selected organization in Audiogest, then reconnect.
- A file is missing: check the selected organization and whether the file belongs to you or is shared with your team.
- No transcript text is available: open the file in Audiogest and check that transcription has finished.
